202 was withdrawn in July 1965 and purchased by the National Trolleybus Association in December of that year. Tours of the Cardiff and Reading trolleybus systems were operated with 202, to raise money for trolleybus preservation. It was used in the Bournemouth closure procession on 20th April 1969. The vehicle was stored at various locations and arrived at Carlton Colville in 2000.
