🚃 A Very Special Arrival at the East Anglia Transport Museum! 🚃
We’re delighted to announce that Blackpool standard No. 143 has arrived at the East Anglia Transport Museum safe and sound, 143 is on loan to us from the Fylde Transport Trust, and we’re thrilled to be able to share this iconic vehicle with our visitors!
Our team have been in Blackpool the last few days preparing 143 for the 300-mile journey from the West Coast to the East Coast, this has been a complicated operation expertly carried out by Reid Freight, the care and attention they have given to this unique vehicle has been second to none.
Built for service on the Blackpool tramway, No. 143 represents an important chapter in British electric transport history. Its arrival adds something truly special to our collection and gives a fascinating contrast to our current home fleet.
We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved in making this loan possible – cooperation like this helps keep transport history alive and accessible for all.
